PATTAYA – FRIGHTENED FISHERMEN FIND HEADLESS HUMAN REMAINS ON BEACH

On 22nd June 2009 the remains of a human with no head have been found washed up on a beach 2 miles south of Koh Rong Kohn and Koh Rong Neung. This is the same area in which the diving instructor Mr. Tong or Wiwat Thiraronkorrakul [35] went missing on the 10th May.

Police Captain Bundit Tehchawong of the Sattahip police was notified at 2:00 pm by Mr. Jarey Maihorm, [52], the former head man of the Village Moo. 2. Samaesarn, that he had found the remains on the beach and brought them to the Mah Jor pier. A police team was despatched to investigate.

On inspecting the remains, the police revealed that the person had been dead about 1 month. The right arm and head were missing, and a tattoo of a big flower was still visible on the back.

Initially, the officials could not determine the identity of the dead person, nor his nationality. The body was sent to the Sattahip KM. 10 Hospital for further examination and to determine the cause of death.

Police captain Bundit said the body could be a boat worker who was murdered or had an accident at sea and was then washed up on the shore.

However, police would contact the relatives of the missing diving instructor, Mr. Tong, of the Diver Evolution Co. Ltd, for more information.
